Generated invertebrate roster — parameter provenance

Generated, not hand-written. One row per planner invertebrate, emitted by python -m stocking.invert_roster emit. Kept separate from the hand-written, literature-cited sections of docs/parameter_reference.md for the same reason the fish table is (CLAUDE.md: that file is not auto-generated). Every number here is derived; the basis and clause columns say how.

How each column is derived

• T / pH bands — stocking.invert_water.tolerance, which walks species → genus → group → tier row for temperature and applies the fish margins unchanged. basis is the rung. This is the same call that produced the five regenerated engine invertebrates.
• size / N mg — a hand-sourced adult length where stocking/data/size_corrections.json carries one, else the wiki's published range, else the Chart group's median; in every case taken mid-range and normalised to body length (stocking.invert_mass.adult_length_cm), then individual_N_mg = K_plan·L³ with K per body plan. Nine binomials covering eleven cells are hand-sourced: the wiki's invertebrate lengths measure 0.69–2.02× of the real animal in both directions, and mass is the cube of that. Eight more were re-sourced and the wiki held; that file records those too.
• Imax — 0.0101·L^-0.17, fitted on the five. K_C is the archetype's.
• crowding K — 3.33e-06·(mg N)^0.698, fitted on the three animals whose interference kernel is on.
• base mortality — 1.4/(lifespan·8766 h) from the wiki's published lifespan.
• archetype — Chart warning (name-matched inside the sentence) → genus table → group default. A group_default clause means the animal has no name at all and the row needs a human.

Attribution

pH / temperature / lifespan, and size wherever the size column is not hand-sourced, derive from The Aquarium Wiki (CC BY-SA 3.0). See stocking/data/ATTRIBUTION.md. The hand-sourced lengths carry their own citations in stocking/data/size_corrections.json and are cited facts rather than licensed data.
