Pick a tank size and see every fish and invertebrate that fits it. Assemble a stocking plan which will thrive with certain water chemistry, view the group sizes required for each species, and ensure your inhabitants wont eat each other (along with other species specific warnings).

Will it thrive?
Tell EcoSym about your water, substrate, plants, filter, lighting, and more. It runs a mechanistic ecosystems model to determine if and (roughly) when your tank will cycle, how your water parameters might change over time, and if your tank will be stable or problematic for your livestock long term.
A stocking plan can tell you which species are possible to keep in your tank, only the simulator can tell you if they will thrive in your specific setup.
The science behind it
The simulator tracks nutrients as they move between the water, substrate, and living things (plants, animals, and microbes) in your tank by solving the checmistry and biology which links them. The documentation explains that science in depth, and everything described there is part of the model.
